    Let's fight about gyms. What's the best and what's the worst.

    Almost every climber I know goes to the gym. It's basically a necessary evil, or an oasis during the winter. Some good, some bad. There are gyms with stellar routes and incredible walls. There are gyms that seem like they threw a bunch of holds at the wall just to see what sticks.

    This is one climbers thoughts on the Climbing Gyms in Utah. If I end up hating your favorite gym and you feel i've done a grievous injustice towards it. Let me know in the comments.

  • Backcountry Skiing, Logan, Utah [The Best Kept Secret]

    Utah is home to the best backcountry skiing in the world. The ranges surrounding Salt Lake City host thousands of lines and hundreds of areas. However, just a quick drive up north where the temperatures drop a few more degrees and the snow is a little colder, you'll find Logan Utah. When all the snow is tracked out and ruined in SLC... Logan still has some fresh fluff.

    St. George, the giraffes of Utah. 

    If you're a climber in Utah and haven't experienced St. George in the winter, we have a problem. That's like being at the circus only for the corndogs. Yeah, they're good, but they also have giraffes! Don't you want to see the giraffes? They have blue tongues!

    Pull away from the corndogs. Get yourself down south for glorious sandstone bouldering. Take a lap on some hard limestone sport lines. Spend the day running multipitch. Tape up for some splitter hand cracks. Just get to St. George any way you can.
